Priory Super Saturday and Mothering Sunday
If the pink tee-shirts are back! It must be … drum roll … Priory Super Saturday.
And indeed, it was, the day before Mothering Sunday marked the launch of Priory Super Saturdays 2026 - free crafts for children, guided tours, tower tours (see the calendar, as they’re not every time), performances and free tea, coffee and cake for everyone. Soon a happy hum of activity filled the Priory as youngsters and their families enjoyed themed crafts in a relaxed setting.
Mothering Sunday brought the return of daffodil posies for the congregations of the morning services - 200 posies of Welsh daffodils with foliage, blessed by the Vicar. Posies weren’t for mothers-only, they were for everyone. A Wordsworthian host of daffodils left the Priory to be shared with those unable to attend, or neighbours, or just to be enjoyed; a little burst of spring following a very wet winter.
