Singing in the rain
From the Priory’s Choral Correspondent…
On a very wet Saturday in February several members of the Priory singers and a few members of the congregation all boarded a coach and set off for the City of Wells.
On arrival we all enjoyed a pleasant lunch in the Ask Italian restaurant and the choir including Piers Maxim [choir director] and Andrew Caskie [Organist] went to the cathedral to rehearse. Other members of the party went to enjoy the city.
The Malvern supporters and a small congregation from Wells all gathered to hear the Priory Singers sing Choral Evensong. The service went well and was enjoyed by all who attended.
After the service everyone returned to the coach for another wet journey home. Despite the weather, a good day was had by all.
