Happy Campers

September … the leaves begin to turn golden and orange and red, the days grow shorter … and the woods near Malvern fill with the whoops and laughter of excited choristers. It must be the time of the annual Choir Camp.

A highlight of the Choir Year, the fearless Junior Choristers of the Priory Choir take on challenges ranging from a low ropes course, to archery, den building, ‘Twister’ and a much-anticipated camp-fire, in an action-packed residential weekend. The ‘front row’ of singers may well have been missing from Priory morning worship during Choir Camp, but the Choristers were still sharing their talents, singing beautifully and joyfully as guest choir in a church near to the Camp.

Catering was ‘amazing’ (thanks to the team of volunteers) and stories of heroism and hilarity were still being shared as the minibus returned with tired, but happy, Priory Junior Choristers, recharged and ready to lift Priory worship and sing their way through the Church Year ahead.

If you’d like to find out more about joining the Choir as a Junior Chorister (no experience required!) please contact Piers Maxim, the Director of Music - he’d love to hear from potential new Choristers.
