Youth Work at the PrioryHere at the Priory we run an active children's and youth ministry for all ages from birth to older teens.
SUNDAY 10.30 AMCrèche (ages 0-3 years) The crèche is run by a group of volunteer mothers and fathers, the children enjoy playing games and interacting with the adults present. Scramblers (age 3 to school year 1) The Scramblers group is a lively group that learn about the love and friendship that Jesus gives them. Explorers (school years 2-5) The Explorer group is very lively, the children enjoy singing, teaching and crafts. Pathfinders (school years 6 and up) The Pathfinder group is a fun lively place to be for young teenagers. The group also has many social activities and camps. SUNDAY 7.15 PM
CYFA. (school years 10 and up) MONDAYSAllsorts (ages 7-11) Allsorts is a group that meets on a Monday evening at 6.30pm - 7.45pm on a weekly basis during term time. The idea of the group is to come and have fun, doing art, crafts and games. They also hear about how Jesus can be part of their lives. Go to top of page |
The Junior Choir The Junior Choir is currently made up of about 30 boys and girls between the ages of 8 and 16. As well as rehearsing and singing anthems and canticles to a high standard for the Sunday morning service, there is a great deal more to being in the choir than just this. In church, they all take part in the RSCM’s ‘Voice for Life’ scheme which rewards their progress in the choir with a series of coloured ribbons, and they have their own Bible teaching programme during the Sunday service. Out of the church they have their own programme of social events which include bowling, swimming, barbecue, and the annual choir camp. This takes place during the Easter holidays and involves a programme of outdoor activities and trips, as well as some music rehearsals.
