Paul and Nicky Webster write: "We intended to remain at Bible College in Tasmania for a further year but, having completed a majority of the foundational coursework, God spoke very clearly and specifically to us both - that we were to move on. We had no idea where although He had previously impressed on our hearts that it would be with Indigenous Australians. We went through a time of following God's leading, trusting that even though we did not know quite where He was taking us - He did! We pushed on doors back up in the Darwin area, they closed and eventually we ended up being asked to join a team working amongst Indigenous Australians - especially the youth - in remote outback Queensland, 800km from the coast. In the thick of vast cattle and sheep stations we run a Christian cafe called 'The Rock' in a town (popn. about 1,500) called Cunnamulla.
Apart from managing the cafe and all that entails we work as youth mentors and so our weekly routine includes involvement in youth group, basketball, movie nights, games nights, volleyball, kayaking, guitar lessons etc. as well as a service in the cafe each Sunday morning. We have also started a Monday evening Bible study for people interested in exploring God's Word outside of a 'church' environment.
We will continue in this role until the end of June when things may change."
